My theory is that the most important thing is to be happy, enjoy what you are doing, and be fresh mentally” – Rafael Nadal.

Kate completed her Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at James Cook University in 2020. After completing University, she moved from Cairns and began working at a specialised osteoporosis clinic in Brisbane. Kate has worked in osteoporosis management for three years and is extremely passionate about bone health and falls prevention.

Kate likes being part of The Allied Health Team as she is eager to explore and gain more experience in chronic health management. She has a strong interest in mental health, musculoskeletal conditions and neurological disorders. She is a strong believer of exercise is medicine and finds that helping people to achieve their wellness goals is an unbeatable reward.

She has always had a love for sport and exercise and knew early on that she wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. She enjoys being at the beach, heavy resistance training as well as playing tennis and volleyball.

In November 2023, Kate became a certified Level 1 Kinetic Link Training coach. Kinetic Link Training (KLT) is a training concept developed by a sports Physiotherapist in 2009. KLT is a type of functional strength training based on the concept that the human body knows movement, not muscles. With strength training, we should therefore focus more on training movement patterns rather than individual muscle groups.

  • “Kinetic”: Involving or producing movement

  • “Link”: A connection between things

  • “Training”: To prepare for activity and/or sport by performing physical exercise (and learning new motor skills).

Kate regularly practises KLT in her own training regime, and implements it into most of her treatment. The benefits of KLT is noticeable after the first few months.
